About this work
The selection of the building site of a church in the 13th century. Outdoors a bishop and an architect together with a group of monks are determining the building site for a church. Part of a series of six representations of moments from Dutch history presented in tableaux vivants by members of Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam on 2 December 1864.
