Scene from the 18th century: a man seated in a chair looks at a painted wallpaper held up before him by the painter and his assistant. Part of a series of six representations of moments from Dutch history presented in tableaux vivants by members of Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam on 2 December 1864.
