About this work
In the foreground Tobias is startled by the fish in the Tigris, which has bitten him in the foot. The archangel Raphael gives him the order to catch the fish and cut out and preserve the heart, liver and gall of the fish. Tobias' dog accompanied them. In the background Tobias has caught the fish. At the bottom in the margin an explanatory text in Latin. After Tobit 6: 2-9.
