About this work
To the right, a farmer steps through the doorway into an interior at the top of a small staircase. Around a table, two farmers sit smoking. Another farmer embraces a woman who has her arm around his shoulder. At the bottom of the stairs stands a boy with a hoop and a ball, opposite him stands a girl. To the right by the fireplace, two men sit.
