About this work
A peasant steps through a door into an interior at the top of a small staircase on the right. Two peasants sit at a table smoking. Another peasant embraces a woman with her arm around his shoulder. At the bottom of the staircase stands a boy with a hoop and a ball, opposite him a girl. On the right by the fireplace sit two men.
