About this work
Venus and Amor surrounded by Bacchus, with raised drinking cup and vine leaves on his head, and Ceres, seen from the back, next to a cornucopia and with ears of corn in her hair. Venus is accompanied by Amor who offers her ears of corn and a bunch of grapes. Illustration of the saying 'Sine Cerere et Baccho friget Venus' (without Ceres and Bacchus Venus freezes), or rather, without food and wine love freezes.
