About this work
A man removes mice or rats from a cage and places them within a wooden enclosure. Another man looks at his watch with a dog on his arm. Men lean over the wooden enclosure and look down. The dog is set with the mice, one of the men looks at his watch. Wagers were probably made on how long it takes before the dog catches the mice.
