Ships at sea with a view of Amsterdam in the background. Around the coat of arms of Amsterdam and various scenes indicating the prosperity of the city in the seventeenth century. In the final act of the tragedy the Archangel Raphael tells Gijsbrecht to leave Amsterdam and that the city will rise again in later centuries.
