Mercury presents a young artist to Minerva, who crowns him with a laurel wreath. Above the throne, Fame blows the trumpet. Behind the throne sit the bound figures of Envy, Laziness, and Vice. At the bottom of the margin, a six-line Latin verse about the subject.
