About this work
Minerva, as the personification of Virtue, leads Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus and Hercules along the path of virtue to the temple of eternal glory. The wise Cupid points the way. On the right, drinking and amorous people represent Vice, which Scipio and Hercules leave behind. At the bottom of the margin, two two-line Latin verses.
