About this work
A father embraces his youngest son. The son was afraid his father would be angry because he had left home and squandered all his money. However, his father was overjoyed to see him again. Rembrandt etched this story on a copper plate so that he could make several prints on paper. But did Rembrandt actually press this particular print himself?
