About this work
An old man with beard and a scythe (the personification of Time) leans against a tree on the right. In front of him stand three putti with lightning bolts and a sickle. In the background sits an eagle on a wall. Bottom right a sphere with a snake biting its own tail around it (ouroboros), symbol for infinity.
