About this work
Jupiter has summoned the Olympian gods after Amor begged him for mercy for the king's daughter Psyche. On the left, Mercury gives Psyche a cup with ambrosia, a drink that will make her immortal. On the right in the foreground, Mercury brings Psyche to Olympus. Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered bottom left: 30 (twice).
