About this work
Satire on the unhappy lot of the Spaniards, possibly after the loss of Arras in 1640. Fortuna in the clouds bestows on the French crowns, palms and escutcheons, symbols of wealth, glory and victory. On the right the Spaniards, one of whom riding on a donkey, who beg Fortuna for her favors. In the background scenes of the war on land and sea. In the caption 4 verses of 6 lines in French.
