About this work

French lady, seen from behind, standing before a landscape with a castle to the left rear. With the right hand she lifts her embroidered overskirt with very wide sleeves slightly, so that the underskirt is partially visible. Lying collar, trimmed with lace. The head, with a short veil, is turned to the left.
