About this work
In a landscape stands in the middle a Chinese man, an emperor, before a throne with steps under a natural baldachin. To the right stand two men, to the left stands a man with an umbrella. Around the scene an ornate frame with garlands, vases with flowers, rocailles, floral motifs, winged figures, and a dragon.
