The Battle on the Zuiderzee, 11 October 1573. Naval battle where the fleet of the Sea Beggars under the command of Cornelis Dirkszoon van Monnickendam defeats the Spanish fleet of Bossu. In the foreground fierce hand-to-hand fights in the boats, behind them the larger ships. Left in the distance Enkhuizen.
