About this work
The dead body of Christ is laid in the tomb by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus with a cloth. Mary and John bend over the tomb. Mary Magdalene kneels before the tomb. Top left in a tree hang two shields with the electoral and ducal arms of Saxony.
