About this work

Bathsheba takes a bath in the garden of the palace of King David, helped by two maids. On the roof of the palace, the king stands with his harp, he sees Bathsheba bathing in his garden. This story refers to the sixth commandment You shall not commit adultery. Sixth print in a series of ten prints.
