About this work

In the foreground stand Moses and Aaron, the former with a staff in his raised left hand. Before them the Israelites pass between the receding waves of the Red Sea (an offshoot of the Red Sea) and further through the mountains. On the left in the background it can be seen how Pharaoh with his retinue is swallowed by the returning water. Below the representation two lines of Latin text.
