At the city gate of Ghent William of Orange is in conversation with angry soldiers regarding his visit to the rebellious Ghent, ca. 1579. This print forms part of a series of 24 prints depicting scenes from the life of Prince William I, 1568-1584, and is an illustration to the twenty-first canto.
