About this work

By the light of a torch, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus lift the body of Christ into a rectangular tomb. Mary Magdalene and two other women mourn his death. In the foreground, next to the tomb, lie balsam supplies and some instruments of the Passion. In the background Golgotha with the three crosses.
