Print with an allegorical representation that appeared for a philosophy thesis by Monsieur Brillon de Joüy, on July 25, 1707. A group of philosophers, led by Descartes and the personified Philosophy, seeks Truth. She is surrounded by light and accompanied by Father Time and Minerva. In the margin a Bible quote in Latin. Below the representation a text in French. The whole is decorated with an ornamental frame containing Theory and Practice.
