About this work
Print with an allegorical representation that appeared for a philosophy thesis by an unknown person. The personified Philosophy, with a crown of stars above her head, shakes hands with Religion, who points to the Bible. Behind them stand Hope (Spes) and Faith (Fides). On the right in the foreground Charity (Caritas) who points children to the tables of the law. On the left the female personifications of the seven liberal arts. In the margin a Bible quote in Latin. Below the representation a text in French. The whole is decorated with an ornamental frame containing Theory and Practice.
