About this work

Sheet with two depictions of Jewish customs during a service in the Portuguese Synagogue in The Hague. Top: Descendants of Aaron stand on a podium to the right, hidden under their prayer shawl, while they give the blessing to the congregation. Bottom: During a service in the synagogue the Torah scroll is shown to the congregation before it is read.
