About this work

Sheet with two depictions of Jewish customs during the celebration of Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles. Top: In the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam a procession is held around the podium with the lectern, during which the men hold various branches in one hand and a fruit, the etrog, in the other. Several men stand on the podium with a Torah scroll. Bottom: In a sukkah a Jewish family has a meal during the celebration of Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles.
