About this work
Sheet with two depictions of the wedding ceremony as practiced by the Dutch Reformed. Top: The groom has picked up the bride and holds her hand. They walk towards the carriage that will take them to the church. They are surrounded by friends and family. Bottom: Amsterdam Reformed wedding. The bride and groom hold each other's right hands while the minister marries them. The deacon stands ready with the collection bag. Below the depictions is an explanation in French.
