About this work

Medallion with a crowned man, the personification of critical judgment, lays his finger on a book, and tramples Envy. He is accompanied by Gentleness with a lamb and Justice with scales. Around the scene the motto: Mansuetudo Tuas Atque Aequum Temerat Iras. Around ornaments with a dog and a cat and in the center below a Medusa head.
