About this work

The investiture of Maurice with the Order of the Garter, 4 February 1613. Maurice receives in the great hall of the Binnenhof in The Hague by a herald the garter put on in the presence of the English ambassador, Johan van Oldenbarnevelt, the members of the States-General and many other guests.
