About this work

Signs of joy for the town hall, on the occasion of the entry of William III in The Hague, 5 February 1691. Evening scene with left a scaffold with burning torches, in the foreground soldiers fire salute shots watched by the visitors on the steps of the town hall. On the facade of the town hall illuminated portraits of William and Maria and emblems.
