About this work

Sixteenth part (border work, bottom left part) of a print of the siege of the Huguenot fortress La Rochelle in the years 1627 and 1628, which was carried out on the order of the French king by the French army under the leadership of Cardinal Richelieu. On this sheet left a representation of a wooden tower in the sea and center/right a representation (surrounded by military attributes) of English prisoners of war who are led before King Louis XIII.
