About this work

Large print of the siege of the Huguenot stronghold La Rochelle in the years 1627 and 1628, executed by order of the French king by the French army under the command of Cardinal Richelieu. Border work, lower left part (copy). On this sheet, to the left, a representation of a wooden tower in the sea, and in the middle; to the right, a representation (surrounded by military attributes) of English prisoners of war being led before King Louis XIII.
