About this work
The first article of faith: the belief in one God, Creator of heaven and earth. God the Father creates Eve from Adam's rib. On the right in the background God the Father bends over Adam and breathes life into him. On the left the creation of the world and of the animals. The print has a Latin inscription with a Bible quote referring to the depicted Bible story and a Latin caption on the Apostles' Creed. The first print in a twelve-part series on the Creed.
