About this work

Monumental memorial stone for Princess Anna of Hanover, who died in 1759. Monument constructed from flags, allegorical female figures, and a royal ermine mantle, crowned by a skeleton wearing a king's crown. Centrally, the princess's coat of arms held by a lion and a unicorn. Marked in the upper right: XIV.
