About this work

Before a pedestal with an inscription sits Minerva with a spear, a helmet and a shield. Before her stand two figures and on the ground lie broken columns next to a bas-relief with two male busts and a garland. In the distance lies Rome. The series is dedicated to 'Vertueux', the virtuous.
