Poetry in a landscape tramples snakes and a mask. She is accompanied by three putti, one of them leans on the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam. Behind her Knowledge (Cognitio) who holds a torch and an empty frame and Fame (Fama) who blows on the trumpet. Under the frame lies Envy (Invidia). On the right in the background Pegasus at the spring Castalia.
