About this work

George II Augustus, King of Great Britain, amidst allegorical figures. He is crowned by Justice (Justitia). The personification of Strength (Fortitudo), with a pillar under her arm, receives from him a command staff crowned with a dove. In the air Fame, she blows on the trumpet on which a flag hangs with a monogram depicted. On both sides of the scene, on pillars medallions in which important political events from the life of the ruler are depicted.
