About this work

Aeolus has gathered all the winds on a rock to create a great storm and destroy the Trojan fleet. Neptune, the god of the sea, intervenes and forces the winds to calm, so that Aeneas's ship is spared. Illustration and initial A for the first part of the Aeneid by Virgil.
