About this work
In the foreground, the apostle Peter is asked to pray for Dorcas (Tabitha), a woman who had just died, but did many good works in her community. In the background, on the upper floor of a house, Peter prays for the corpse of Dorcas and brings her back to life. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a 34-part series with the subject the Acts of the Apostles.
