About this work

A loving couple by the bank of a river, surrounded by putti. In front of them lies an open songbook. Behind them Plenty and a second allegorical female figure. On the right the marriage god Hymen rushes up. The representation is framed in an ornamental border, crowned with a bust of Minerva, and on both sides musical instruments. The print was possibly made for a wedding.
