About this work

Crowned monogram flanked by Minerva and Justitia and three putti with allegorical attributes. On the left Minerva holding a bridle (symbol of moderation) in her hand, an owl on her head (wisdom), and an olive branch (peace) in her hand. Behind her a putto holding the snake biting its own tail, the symbol of eternity. On the right Justitia with the scales. In front of her a crane (symbol of vigilance). Behind her two putti, one holding a mirror and a snake (prudence) and the other a palm branch and a trumpet (symbol of peace).
