About this work
The priests of Bel eat the food offered to the god Bel. They come and go through a secret passage under the table. While they secretly take the food, their footprints remain in the ash scattered by Daniel on the ground. At the bottom in the margin a reference to the biblical text and the title in Greek, English, Latin, German, French and Dutch.
