About this work

Saint Dominic stands before a well, above which floats the severed head of Alexandra. She was a woman who was murdered because of her promiscuous life and whose head was hidden in the well. Dominic forgives her sins because she prayed the rosary. The print has a Latin inscription with legend and is part of a fifteen-part series on the miracles of the rosary.
