About this work
The personifications of Time (Tempus) and Opportunity (Occasio). Time holds a scythe and an hourglass and wears an armillary sphere on his head. Opportunity carries a cornucopia and a cross in her left hand. In her right hand, she balances a globe on a chalice. Her hair covers her face. Centrally above is God the Father. The print has a Latin legend and is part of a twelve-part series on seizing opportunities.
