About this work

In a landscape various saints and biblical figures are placed. Above Elijah and John the Baptist on either side of a cave. In the cave sit the saints Paul and Anthony. Next to a white cloth sit four women, personifications of: Prayer, Repentance, Silence and Self-discipline. Below two female saints. To the left the Saint Euphrosina and to the right a naked woman with long hair. Possibly this is the Saint Eugenia or the Saint Mary of Egypt. Proof impression for a title page.
