About this work

Two Dominican martyrs are laurelled. One has a sabre on his head, the other a sword in his breast. On a throne sits in the middle the personification of the Papacy, with tiara and keys. Two angels present the martyrs with a laurel wreath and a palm branch. In the background a large crowd.
