About this work
The second stained-glass window in the Sint-Janskerk in Gouda, depicting the capture of the city of Damietta by the Haarlem Crusaders and the breaking of the chain that blocked the harbor, 1219. Above, two warriors with the old and new coat of arms of Haarlem and the year 1596. The city of Haarlem was the donor of the stained-glass window to the city of Gouda.
