About this work
Landscape with a river. In the sky, Daedalus and Icarus. Icarus flies too high near the sun. The wax of his wings melts and he falls from the sky. In the foreground, a fisherman (left) looks at the scene, while a shepherd also looks up at the sky. The first print in a six-part series of landscapes with mythological scenes.
