About this work

The female personification of the continent Africa in the foreground. Next to her lie a bow and arrow. On her head, she wears a large round hat. In the background, an African landscape with an African-dressed couple and some native animals such as lions and elephants. The print has a Latin subtitle and is part of a four-part series with personifications of the four continents.
