About this work
The god Apollo as Sol, riding on the clouds in his triumphal chariot, drawn by four horses. In the middle top the constellation Leo. At the bottom a hilly landscape (Italy and Bohemia) in which various dignitaries. On the left a pope is crowned. In the middle the coronation of a king and the knighting of a man. On the right a royal entry. In the margin a Latin panegyric on the influence of the sun on the regions of Italy and Bohemia. The print is part of a seven-part series on the influence of the planets on the world.
